The Habits We Build in September

September has given us many ways to come together as a community at UTS. At the Welcome Social and Coffee Mornings, I’ve enjoyed the chance to meet and reconnect with familiar faces. This week at Curriculum Night, you heard about teachers’ inspired plans and expectations for the year ahead. These conversations build trust and a sense of community that help students feel known and supported throughout the year.

The recent provincial changes also give us an opportunity to think about the habits we want students to develop. Arriving on time, coming ready to participate, managing competing commitments and communicating responsibly when plans change are all skills that will serve students well beyond school.
